Description
Name: Bird of Paradise or (Natalan wild banana) Scientific name: Strelitzia nicolai Description: It is an evergreen plant similar to the banana plant, reaching a height of several meters, and its stem is oval-shaped, consisting of a collection of leaf stalks. It is characterized by large, leathery, gray-green leaves, reaching a length of about 2 meters, and showing longitudinal cracks. Its pointed flowers bloom in late winter in white, purple and blue, and look like the head of a crane. Its original habitat: South Africa and Mozambique.
